With the ProdTrac software system you can, giving complete assurance to retail customers.

Withdrawal of Imedeen Prime Renewal food supplements - undeclared irradiated ingredient
19/01/2006
Any food manufacturer can be innocently exposed to a food withdrawal alert, on the discovery of a previously unknown contaminant. But could you immediately and accurately pinpoint where that contaminated material had been used as an ingredient or sold to a customer? With ProdTrac you can.
And you may be surprised by how inexpensive ProdTrac can be, especially when it pays for itself many times over in resolving a single incident. Contact us for more details.
Ferrosan Ltd has withdrawn two batch codes of Imedeen Prime Renewal food supplements due to the undeclared presence of irradiated white tea extract. Because the irradiation had not been carried out at an approved food irradiation plant, the import and sale of the products does not comply with the Food (Control of Irradiation) Regulations 1990. In addition, the products do not comply with The Food Labelling Regulations 1996 which require them to labelled as being irradiated. There are no reported food safety implications arising from these irradiated products.
The irradiated white tea extract was manufactured in China by the China National Chemical Construction Anhui Company, Hefei, PR China. Ferrosan imports the product directly into the UK from Ferrosan A/S in Soborg, Denmark. Ferrosan has written to all recipients of the product requesting that they withdraw the two affected batch codes from sale and return them to their distributor.
The Batch Codes of the withdrawn products are:
GF 8988
GF 8989
Both codes have a best before date of June 2007
No other batch codes of this product are known to be affected
Further details of this product withdrawal may be found on the UK Food Standards Agency website at:
