ProdTrac Version 2 launched

ProdTrac is proud to announce the successful launch of Version 2 (v2) of its business software system. All current v1 customers have been upgraded free-of-charge to v2, and v2 is now the standard installation for all new customers..

V2 contains all the core features of v1, giving continued use without any loss of historical data.. But in addition, v2 contains many enhanced and new capabilities:

Written in Microsoft .Net, it is compatible with Windows XP and Vista operating systems. The standard program offers optional integration with bar-code printers and scanners, with electronic weigh scales for a complete recipe-weighing solution, and with touch-screen terminals for use in warehouse or production locations.

Production management tools include:

• Instant analysis and display of stocks of purchased goods, work-in-progress manufacture and finished goods
• Inventory valuation
• Sales and production forecasting based on continually updated historical data
• Analysis of sales orders to automatically suggest production plan requirements
• Production plan management

Technical capabilities include:

• Automatic recipe costing always based on latest purchasing and manufacturing costs
• Allergen tracking from raw materials through recipes to finished products
• Shelflife control for first-in first-out batch use at all stages of manufacture and despatch
• Approved supplier control
• Vendor performance status by automated analysis of delivery service levels and received quality of goods
• Password-protected batch management, assuring that rejected or quarantined batches of goods cannot be used
• ProdTrac’s unique traceability functions giving complete forward and reverse tracking of all batches of purchased and manufactured goods

Administration features include:

• Simplified purchase order management, with sophisticated analysis tools – e.g. stock call-off from suppliers, late/overdue delivery reporting, automated cross-reference of received goods value against order and supplier invoice values
• Enhanced sales order input, including mirroring of existing orders, sales quotation conversion to orders, and issuing despatch bay pick-lists (including batch shelf-life directions)
• Automated invoicing with optional batch printing

Aldi recall of Romano Pasta Sauces - possible glass contamination

Aldi Stores Ltd has undertaken a full product recall of all batch codes of Romano Pasta Sauce and Romano Mushroom Pasta Sauce due to possible glass contamination.

The retailer has issued product recall notices (text reproduced below) to the national press, and point-of-sale notices will also be displayed in all Aldi stores to alert customers to the recall and advise them what actions to take if they have purchased the affected products.

The above products are being recalled as a precaution due to the possible presence of glass.

Customers who have bought this product are asked to return it to their nearest Aldi Store, where a full refund will be given.

We are sorry for any inconvenience this may cause.
