Installation and Training
For the work carried out to install the software and set it up to your requirements, we make a once-only non-refundable charge. This installation/training charge is to cover two days of activity:
Day 1 is for software installation and set-up, and for customisation and user profiling to your individual requirements. During that day we will also spend time with you to review the program and guide you in the optimum way to enter any of your existing records related to materials, recipes, products and supplier/customer databases.
Important: the key to efficient use of any software system is the correct setting-up of base data and configurations. It can be a very time-consuming procedure for a new user to enter all of the required records for ingredients, products and recipes. For this reason we offer to pre-populate the ProdTrac database with base information before installation, provided that you can supply us in advance with your materials, recipes and products data (ideally as ‘soft’ copies). Any information will be treated with full confidence and all work will be covered by the single installation charge.
Following this day of installation, you then have the opportunity to begin learning the system and to become familiar with its workings and how it can be applied to your business. This time period is for you to experiment rather than to create real production records.
Day 2 is an agreed day – we suggest between one and two weeks after installation - when we will return to give a day of in-depth training. It is imperative that you set aside that day, or delegate the task, so that we can give you a clear understanding of the program modules and their interaction.
Although the program is very powerful and wide-ranging, it has been designed and developed in a user-friendly way. Coupled with the comprehensive user guides that are included with the software installation, we find the above approach is the ideal way to set up and get you started with the ProdTrac system.
Should any training be required beyond the initial two days, we reserve the right to invoice for this on a non-profit basis.
Costs for Software Changes
If you should request changes to the standard ProdTrac software, it is likely that they would be of general advantage to the development of the program and so would be free of charge.
However, a charge may have to be made for major function changes. Such function changes would be significant modifications to the ProdTrac modular structure which we would consider exclusive to your own methods of working. A fixed price quotation would be submitted for your agreement in advance of any such development.
Hardware Supply
In addition to the software, we can also supply hardware and networking solutions, and will be pleased to provide quotations for such work. If preferred, we can also offer a lease payment arrangement as a modest addition to the monthly software licensing cost.
